Math Daily 3, New Product(!), and a GIVEAWAY!

Hi-ya friends! I'm excited to post today because I have SO much to share (plus a giveaway BUT please read all of this! ;)

How many of you struggle with your math time?  How many of you end your time feeling like... 1 a chicken running around trying to get to everyone.... 2 your high students are sitting bored because they finished the sheet in a minute and... 3 your low ones are still counting the pages one. at. a. time. trying to find page 103.  Ugh.

Cue my LIFESAVER.....

I spent all last summer taking notes on my current math program and scouring the Internet on how to better meet the needs of all my students.  After months of trying to wrap my brain around how to make it happen... this little idea was born {ahhhhh.....}.  I love my reading block time so much (Daily 5/CAFE) that I knew I wanted to create something similar for Math.  I was on the Sister's website quite a bit trying to learn about what they were doing with math but I wasn't understanding it exactly (now I haven't been on in about a year so I have no idea what has transpired since).  I knew I wanted to keep it simple and manageable.  Here is a small sneak peek (and terrible photo) of my math board:
All the posters, ideas, complete instructions, AND some games are included in the Math Daily 3 product in my TpT store.  I will share a little bit and will answer any questions here~ otherwise I really suggest picking this up... it will change the way you do math.... I GUARANTEE it! :)

I decided I wanted 3 groups- as I usually have a high, average, and low group of math students.  The KEY to the success of this program is assessments!  You need to assess your students to see how to organize your groups.  The groups are then placed in one of the three Math Daily 3 choices:

Math with the Teacher
Math with Someone
Math by Myself

There they have more choices!  Everything runs so smoothly and I have had MANY MANY teachers in my building asking about this and have loved it!

I will say... it does take some work to get your materials and groups organized.... but what GOOD program doesn't take work.  Once you have it set up... you will be so thankful you spent the extra time because it will be all ready to go for the next year!

OK, I am going to stop there before I get too wordy!  PLEASE ask any questions you may have :)

Are you still with me??  I hope so because I have an AMAZING new product that I just had to share with my awesome followers.....

I have done an election in my classroom for the past 5 years but it wasn't THIS CUTE!  I fixed up (a TON) from what I did so that I could share it with you ;)  It is a complete ELECTION DAY unit that I do for about 1-2 weeks.  With the BIG election coming up this would make the perfect companion to that!!  This has everything you need to run an election except the candidates are ANIMALS!!  I've tossed around the idea of doing people but I felt that the kids can connect better to animals.  They do get the genuine experience of how the election process works with this unit!  Complete instructions on how to do this is included!!

Are you STILL here?? Yippee!!  So I wanted to do a quick giveaway!!  I am giving away BOTH of the products mentioned in this post today (Math Daily 3 AND Election Time) to TWO lucky winners!.  Enter through the raffle copter below.

However... there's MORE!  I am also looking for new followers SO if you post about this blog and send a new follower this way you will get an EXTRA chance to win! (make sure you tell them to say you sent them on over!)

***ALSO THERE'S MORE!!!  If you buy either one of these products, I will do a buy one get ANYTHING you want FREE!  All you have to do is email me the product you bought and the product you want and I will send it your way!  This will only last until SUNDAY!!***

  12. Oh my heck, you have done so much work! I am trying a math workshop this year. It seems so much better for students because I can meet with smaller groups and differentiate. The groupings you have created look great adn easily to work with.
I am also amazed at your ability to not only get your math posted but election materials as well. WOW!

  20. I would love math daily three! I am wondering how this could work with a scripted math program. We use everyday math. But I do feel like a chicken with it's head cut off during math. Do you have a scripted program that you fit in?
