Monday Made it with Freebies! :) AND buy one get one!!

Is it Monday already?  Yikes!  I have 2 more weeks until the little ones come into my classroom!  Where-did-the-summer-go??

And how many of you have a table in your house that looks like this...
I am waiting for my husband to disown me! :)

So my first Monday Made it was inspired by Sweets N Treats' ADORABLE sign posted to Teachers Notebook for FREE!! (thank you!)
I always wanted to make a "Where are We?" sign but just didn't have the time or space to do so.  That was until I found this....

I seriously don't know how I survived before Target $1 spot! (I think teachers alone keep that place running!)  So I paired this totally awesome magnetic board (cute color too!) With the adorable free sign and came up with this...

I had the magnet that I just attached an arrow to so the kids can move the arrow to where we are! Love it! :)

Next up.... duct tape!  Ok so I see all these amazing duct tape projects and I totally wanted to use it but didn't have the right project until I found just the right duct tape!!
In my school we have a strict no treat policy.  So no candy incentives, no special popsicle day, and No birthday treats.  So...
instead I do a birthday book donation!  The parents send in a book on or around the child's birthday (sometimes it comes wrapped and the child gets to open it- so fun!) and then we read it and put it in our birthday bucket!  Oh and I take a picture and label it with their name and birth date.  It becomes a favorite source of books in the classroom! Well... when I first started this I thought I was oh so coooool and I wrapped a bucket in wrapping paper... it ended the year like this...
yeah... torn, ripped, a mess!  So cue the duct tape!!!!
Awww I'm in love! :) This will be so much more durable! Yippee!!  If you are interested in the birthday letter... click here :)

More birthday... So I found this AMAZING birthday pack from Cassandra @ Adventures in Room 5
Birthday Pack Extravaganza (Everything You Need to Celebra
I have to say that I love everything in this little birthday pack! (check it out here)
Here are some things I made:
I'm going to LOVE my new birthday display!!

I've never had a birthday banner... I do now!! :)

I'm excited to save some money and give out birthday bookmarks this year!
Thanks Cassandra! :)

Even more birthday!
This is NOT my original idea but I love it so much!!
The balloons are attached to pencils.  The kids loved picking out a birthday pencil last year.  I don't know where I got this birthday balloon template from (if you know please let me know!) but I hope it's ok to share! I love it! :)  {balloon template}

The 'brilliant' light bulb idea!!
I know this is not a new idea but I love it and am so excited to use this!  This is from the adorable Mrs. Plum @ There's No Place Like Second grade.  I have to tell you that between my husband and I we finally found these stinkin' light bulbs at the 5th Target!  I was on a mission!  I love how it turned out!!

I have to add that I bought the basket at the dollar spot and got it home only to realize that it was way too big for my 5 light bulbs.  Then I noticed in Mrs. Plum's pics she put yellow tissue paper under the light bulbs!!  Great idea and gave them the lift they needed! :)

Phew!  Did you make it all the way to the end??  You did!!  Gold Medal for you!! :)

Last thing I promise!!  I am extending my buy ONE get ONE deal until the end of the day tomorrow (Tuesday)!!  I had great success and heard some positives about it so I will continue with the goodness!! You can check out all the details {here- post from yesterday with some great tips too!!} but I have decided to add another one of my best sellers!!  So if you buy any one of these...
Morning Messages
I plan to post about my morning messages in the next few days!!
And then email me telling me what you bought, you can pick out ANYTHING in my store for FREE! Yep... that simple! :)

As always... I love to share because of your nice comments! Thanks so much for stopping by!!

  7. I love the "Where are we?" board....and I'm with you on the Target Dollar Spot. I'm so jealous of everyone and their light bulbs.....our Target doesn't have the light bulbs and I didn't see the magnetic board when I was there yesterday. Never fear, I will be there at least 100 more times before school starts and may have to steal you sign idea.

Good luck with an amazing start to the school year!

  8. Thank you so much for sharing the balloons. I have been looking for ones that are in black and white. (I have used enough printer ink this summer.) I just printed the balloons on colored (with patterns) cardstock that I got at the Dollar Tree.

  19. I couldn't find the lightbulbs, but i found adorable cows at Oriental Trading, so I'll make up a label that says "Don't have a cow!" They'll use them for calming down and working through rough spots. I wish I could find cute duct tape like the cupcakes!
